What is an Australian Labradoodle?
First things first...all Labradoodles are not created equal though all are precious.
Australian Labradoodle: Lab/Poodle/Cocker Spaniel cross
American Labradoodle: Lab/Poodle cross
The Labradoodle was first developed in Australia in the 1970's when the Royal Guide Dog Association of Australia was working to create an allergy friendly guide dog and has since become a popular pet due to the allergy friendly and low shedding coat along with an easy going, friendly disposition.
Word spread of this new breed, and breeders in Australia started to work with the idea of improving and refining the breed. Soon breeders from around the world joined in to develop the Australian Labradoodle that we love today.
Although different breeds were used in the initial fine tuning of the breed, today only three breeds are now used to make the Australian Labradoodle: Labrador Retriever, Poodle, and Cocker Spaniel
(English or American) according to WALA rules and regulations.
The name Australian Labradoodle can be misleading and is not to be confused with an "Aussiedoodle" deriving from an Australian Shepherd/Poodle cross, which typically equates to high energy level, intelligent and energetic.
Multi-generational Australian Labradoodles are affectionate, sociable, smart, moderately active and known to be easily trainable so often they are bred for companionship and service or therapy work.
The Australian Labradoodle comes in three sizes; lo-shedding and allergy friendly coat types; and a beautiful array of patterns and colors.
Sizes, Coats & Colors:
Mini: 14-16"tall 15-25lbs
Medium: 17-20"tall 25-45lbs
Standard: 21-24"tall 45-65lbs
Coat Types: Wool and Fleece, which can be Curly or Straight/ Wavy
Colors/Patterns: Chalk, Cream, Caramel, Apricot, Red, Chocolate, Parti, Parchment, Phantom, Roan and Black

My name is Tamara- and I'm the face behind Crikey Doodles.
Crikey is a very small premier in-home breeder of mini-medium Australian Labradoodles in the Atlanta area. Specializing in low-shedding, allergy-friendly dogs that are highly intelligent, loving, easy to train, and make exceptional therapy and service dogs.
Our puppies come from carefully selected parent dogs that are WALA approved and health tested.
It is important to me that our pups have the best possible start by creating a foundation of trust and mutual respect.
As an intentionally
LOW VOLUME & HIGH QUALITY breeder,
I personally asses each litter and consider the specific needs of each puppy and litter as a whole.
I have at my disposal the knowledge and ability to offer them ENS (early neurological stimulation) and socialization techniques, although every litter is different and must be approached as such to meet specific needs.
Because, I only raise 1-2 litters a year, each and every puppy has my undivided attention and expertise.
I introduce crate training, and a combined implementation of Empowered/Bad A Breeders, Puppy Culture and Baxter and Bella in preparing your new pup to come home.
